Individual & Family Plans

Individual health plans are available for people ageing off of their parent’s plan, losing coverage through their employer, self employed, or any other reason that may require you to provide coverage for yourself and your family. With a wide array of plans available, we are confident we can help you find a plan that will fit your specific needs and desires.

Please understand, there are only select times of the year available to sign up for a plan.

Individual Open Enrollment

November 1-December 15 annually

Individual Open Enrollment (IEP) is the time of year in which anyone, regardless of health status or current coverage status, can enroll for a health plan. If you pick a plan during this time period, the coverage will become effective January 1 of the following year. Some years, the government may extend the period of open enrollment through January 15. In this case, the coverage begins the first of the month following application.

Special Enrollment Period (SEP)

A special enrollment period is a time in which you can apply for health coverage after you’ve experience what is called a “qualifying event.” A qualifying event is commonly one of the following: marriage, divorce, moving, losing current coverage, having a child, and adopting a child. There are other less common enrollment periods, but these are the primary occurrences that will prompt eligibility for an individual or family health plan.
